Game Leaves

Recommended Posts

Well,it seems to be going from bad to worse. I can not believe that a player who has been supported through his injuries for nearly two years can decide to leave as soon as he is fit. How can a Blue Square South club even take a chance on a player who has been out for so long? I am deeply shocked. I don't think I can trust any of the players these days. This does not help to increase loyalty among supporters to our club.

P1ss poor from Gameo - what a c***

Going to Braintree. That's up to him of course. I really can't see why we're playing them in a friendly when there appears to be quite a bit of competition for players between us.

Broomey must have something against us. F**ks us for two years and carries on doing it when he's gone!!

I held Gameo in very high regard.

Very disapointed and quite upset about this. The club has supported him over a long period of time and this is just a kick in the teeth from the player in my opinion. Play fair by a player and then he does this.

Not happy.

Very poor show from Matt Game. I would not dream of doing that to anyone who had shown loyalty to me and financially supported me through a serious injury (albeit caused during a game for Billericay). At the very least I would have given them a season of my services as thanks before waving goodbye.

Not sure who is bottom of my list at the moment - MPs or footballers!

This is disgusting, I am raging what a complete W****r!!

The loyalty the club showed him and the rapturous applause and hearty welcome back to action he got at the end of the season clearly meant nothing to him!

People on this forum and some associated with the club dig out fans for not always supporting the management or players and here is a fans favourite and our ex manager sh***ing all over our beloved club and sticking two fingers to all of us!

I think both Gameo and Broom should be disgusted with themselves.

I thought things were going too well!

What price loyalty eh? Seemingly none it seems. I assume he has taken a wage from the club for the past two seasons he's been injured, with the club paying that wage, knowing full well the extent of his injury? I assume he used our facilities and physio to aid his recovery? Now that he is fit, he sticks two fingers up to the Chairman all the way to the supporters as a sign of his thanks. Nice! Braintree are welcome to him.

Proof once more that loyalty is not a common trait of the modern day footballer....at whatever level he plays.

I wouldnt have minded so much if he had given us half a dozen games at the end of last season after such a long time out. But to do this after all the support everyone at the club has given him over the last 2 years is p1ss poor. I wouldnt expect a warm welcome on your next visit Mr Game!

Time to forget him now and look forward to seeing further developments on the squad the club are building for next season.

From a footballing viewpoint I'm dissapointed that he's gone. I thought he looked fit & sharp when he played at the end of last season, and would be a great regular addition to the team.

I'm not sure about the other stuff. If, as has been suggested, he's taken the club for a ride then that's a poor show. But it doesn't pay to burn bridges; maybe he'll learn that the hard way.

So we have another opportunity to strengthen the team. I hear a certain Mr Holmes is looking for an ambitious club to move to wink

Sounds like he's been very foolish, as Rick said - sometimes you learn the hard way that you shouldn't burn bridges.

Personally, I'm very disappointed and think that Matt will in no doubt realise how the fans feel when we have the 'friendly'.

There's no excuse, he's got no loyalty and therefore gets no respect from me. Can we make sure this isn't one player that boomerangs back when we're desperate?!

This is the worst side of football. A club who has supported an injured player for 2 years and this is how we are repaid.

I hope for his sake he does not come to the pre season "freindly" as I dont think he will get a very hospitable wellcome.

Braintree announced two signings on their web site today, neither of which were Game. No mention of him on their Forum either, and that's where most recent news has been leaked recently, much to Mr Hardings annoyance.

There is, however, a comment by one fan that he's sure Garvey has his eye on Michael Alaile as a target.
