What is all this re sponsor and what is happening with the QE? If its not appropriate to post please send a pm.

Many thanks.

I lost interest when a certain supporter, the greatest of respect to the supporter who may or may not have thought of it before but if the supporter with the greatest of respect had thought of cutting a LLLOOONNNGGG question short, started waffling on. crazy

Now who could you mean.

As for last night. We have got a new sponser but nothing has been signed yet. Signing to take place next Monday.

We are advertising for a new manager. Roger, on a personal note, stated looking for a manager with a good track record on a tight budget. Not too difficult then!

QE It is expected that the seeding of the pitch will start next April. No drainage works required as there is around a metre of good top soil on the pitch. Still aiming to go in during season 2010/11 but may not be at the start of the season as the pitch is not likely to be ready.

There is vandalism taking place at the property so Council are going to install CCTV (Should have been present at least 2 months ago in my view).

English Heritage are also taking their part in bureacratic vandalism. (Twas ever thus) They are now saying that they need to keep the Crittal windows. (If they are so precious they can have my mum's in her '57 ex council house) I have little time for English Heritage as I feel that they get lost up their own ar*es and are the biggest anal retentives in the country. They loose sight that buildings are supposed to have a use and not be some monument to a former architects ideas. Modern architects may have better ideas. (Enough of this ranting)

EH also question the railings outside. They do not comply with current building regs as far as providing a satisfactory barrier is concerned. It seems that they will have to give way on this if the project is to receive a licence.

A lift will have to be installed for disabled access.

The orginal idea of installing the dressing rooms toward the bar end of the building is not being done as there are structural walls involved so dressing rooms will be further down the long corridor.

We, as well as the council, are making bids to the football foundation in order to achieve a grant. Roger is hopeful as he has kept the middlesex FA, the Foundation and Ryman "in the loop". We are still looking for

dohThat was the brief when Margolis was selected. Can we find someone with a brain to take part in the selection process? Steph how about you?

Stephs notes above are spot on, there was nothing too juicy but more of updates.

As for error's by the board, yes they made some last season, as the treasurer owned up to his. However as a young club and a supporters run one we are probably the wiser now for those error's and can be regarded more as learning curves.

'A lift will have to be installed for disabled access.'

That will be interesting. Sounds to me like it may go beyond 'the reasonable adjustment' required by legislation; I wonder who is insisting, and where it could realistically be installed? Not sure how it would fit with English Heritage's dangerous view of conservation, either.

It's also not consistent with EH's general conservation intention, and the legal obligation.

I would think from the ground floor to the first floor and back down again evil2

The point of English heritage is to stop people tampering and doing as they see fit with listed/protected buildings .

You have taken it on and you have to learn to live with it, Get over it . I have a feeling this is going to cause you many problems along the way .

Life has its ups and downs - bit like a platform lift. By the way, what have I got to get over?
