I wonder when we will have any announcement of 'the first friendlies'.

 

Have now survived 3 weeks of this close season stuff,and only about another 8 until the friendlies start i would think

This will be good but it would be good to get anything out to the local papers too. Ramsgate have had quite a lot of news in the Times and Gazette since the season ended whereas we have been reduced to just small snippets. Although we have had no news as such, some sort of press release each week just to give some coverage in the locals would always be good for the clubs profile.

Well said about the local papers Steve, something that I think I have pointed out on here in the past.

 

It's all very well worrying about getting info on the web and great for the people in Australia who won't ever attend a match but it is the local people (who don't necessarily have internet facilities) who we need to interest in, and get to attend, games.

 

The more information we can get to them the better.

Is it also interesting that about a month ago there were posts on this forum 'complaining' that info went in the local media and not on the official site ?

 

I do have some sympathy with the club-can't win either way !!

 

Of course -in reality-as you suggest, it needs to be in/on as many media as possible-but thats easier said than done i guess, when you are mainly relying on the asistance of volunteers;who like all of us-will have other commitments

In fairness to the club the website states that an announcement will be made but not where.

 

I completely agree with you about volunteers - MFC like many similar organisations is admirably served by volunteers and I never forget that, as I am sure many of us don't.

Only another 3 months to the ryman league kicks off ;and provided we beat HRMC first; we can spend saturday afternooons debating proper on pitch matters again.

 

It feels like years `already since the staines debacle.

Need a ryman footie fix soon.
