As Barcalona's chairman/president is "elected by the members" isn't this something that ETFC should adopt?

 

I know we vote for the board, surely this is an opportunity, with the chairmanship being vacant, for the members to also elect the chairman?

Really? Not sure that is in the constitution, or has that been amended along with the number of board members?

The chairman is voted on by the elected members(board). Rule 65

On the basis that they are all out of contract or registration once the play offs are complete, I imagine we have precisely nil players at the moment.

 

But the opportunity to bring in playing resources (as well as backroom assistance) without having to out existing players, coaches, etc, should make for a better standard of applications. Add to that the supporter base (even allowing for a drop off last season), the club's constitution, the move to QE, established youth structure, etc. etc.

 

I reckon the post bag will be pretty full.

Lets hope so, with the right man in charge. I quite like that Glen fella ex Ware and was at Harlow last 3-4 months. Then again I'm sure there will be others.

Both the boardroom and the official website both seem to be suggesting that there was some confusion on the fans part ,regarding Mr Millington remaining as chairman.

 

No confusion at all on our part!..Mr Millington put out a statement saying:

 

I am now likely to have to work from the south coast and with already having to travel from deepest South London it would serve the club better if a new chair could be found who is able to give the club the time it deserves. I will in the meantime continue to serve you the supporters and strive to give this club the success it desires.

 

It now seems the board have decided he is still the best man for the job despite his work comittments,so have asked him to stay on.Which is fair enough.
