The board said they are looking for a manager with PROVEN experience of doing well on a tight budget.The question must be :Why wasn't that the criteria the last time we appointed someone to the post.If it was,then 'talking a good game' wouldn't have been enough to secure the job.

IM free!! would be interesting to see what I could do with a budget and the support of everyone at the club. The problems I faced at Eton Manor was that the players I knew were at clubs getting money and werent ready to come and play for nothing, Couldnt even offer them petrol money....

 

Does anyone know what Paul "Tinker" Taylor is doing these days? Someone like him or the previously mentioned George Borg would get my vote all day long.

Im deadly serious, Ive already posted elsewhere that I think a manager with an ex player who was well respected & a bit of a hero as an assistant/coach would be the ideal team.

Will the board only consider those who apply for the job by sending in their CV's? Or will they also seek to make contact with manager/s who they feel would be the best person for the job,even if they are currently in a job and haven't applied?

I would put my name forward as in my first season as assistant manager we won an Isthmian League trophy, runners up in the league, league cup and county cup and not many can match that record but i couldn't put up with all you miserable sods and will stay where I am!!!!
