Thanks for letting us know anyway Jim.Most Inner cirlcers would have got a buzz from finding out info before anyone else and then hiding from everyone but the select few.Good to see one person bucking the trend.

I got a text from a regular supporter!

Well thats put the Histon season ticket on hold! evil

Might have to attend the first game of next season now once we know who's at the helm.

I honestly believe this is good news for the club, a complete fresh start at exactly the right time.

Slightly and not as far as it should have.

In no way have things improved since JC left.Apart maybe from discipline.
Entertainment provided.Player comittment to the club.Atmosphere on the terraces.Attendances..The whole lot have got worse this season.

We have improved as we are now looking at the wider picture of football to bring in players and not depending on a network of former players that were often past their best, if we want the club to progress we need to widen the net and get in the correct players.

That said though we must not lose sight of the fact that we are supporters owned club representing the local community.

All it proved was that JC's limited network of players and contacts was not ideal, but niether was going completely the other way and bringing in dozens and dozens of random players. The results didn't improve doing the latter, but the spirit in the club undoubtedly went downhill by doing it.

A sensible compromise between the two stances is the way to go.

"PAUL HALSEY APPOINTS NEW COACH

Paul Halsey has appointed Stuart Margolis as coach for next season. Stuart joins us from Enfield Town and joins the management team of Paul, Andy Crawford and Barry Mason that oversaw a succesful end to our 2008-09 campaign"

yeah... and not the first time we've seen this happen at our level!

In a credit crunch time too, not even bankers could match that.

Whoever is appointed, we must stay away from the past and that is keep the Tickners, Crace, Bastians, Hahns, Hammetts away from any involvement. Why????? cos when the tough got going they effectively told our club to stick it and we must be bigger and bolder than that kind of loyalty towards us supporters (including the board)
