Blue Square Premier outfit Grays Athletic have announced the appointment of Craig Edwards as their new first team manager.

 

Edwards has previously managed Barkingside, Barking, Grays Athletic Redbridge, Chelmsford City as well as Dulwich Hamlet, and has signed for the Blues on a non-contract basis.

 

 

He will be assisted by by two coaches; Gary Phillips and Simon Brown.I am confused!

I notice that the other Grays assistant/coach is a certain Gary Phillips - and from the video clip it does appear to be the old Barnet and occasional EFC keeper.

I read that Ryan Edgar would be having a trial with Luton Town, i expect Luton will have the cash to afford better players than him but if Grays are keeping to their "affordable" budget i wouldn't be too surprised to see him as a squad player there.

Steve Browne

Assistant manager Steve Browne has left the club to join Grays Athletic as coach. He will be joining new manager Craig Edwards and former Enfield FC 'keeper Gary Phillips in the new Grays set-up. We appreciate that the step up to Conference National is too good an opportunity for Steve to miss. We would like to thank Steve for his efforts in the short time he was with us and wish him all the best for the future.

 

So much promised in such a short space of time! So much devotion to ETFC? Where did it all go wrong?
