Once again a thread has been locked (had the members not unanimously requested it stayed, then it would have been removed)

 

Rarely in the history of these forums has a Moderator been removed from office, but today, sadly, Coach et 64 has been banned due to constant errors of judgement and an abuse of powers placed in him. We GM's know that this action has been requested of us previously by members and such requests have always been passed up to Admin level and warnings were issued as a result, but only Admins can ban or remove Moderators from their positions of trust and unfortunately today it has come to that.

 

We do believe however that although Coach et 64 overstepped the mark once to often both on here and with the changing of members posts on the Hullbridge forum, that there are also others who have been guilty of personal abuse on the forums and a selfish disregard for forum rules and etiquette. They know who they are and should think on please before crossing the same line as Coach did and also deriding the hard working moderators who have a thankless task attempting to contain the argumentative threads across numerous forums whilst at the same time trying very hard not to take sides or upset anyone.

 

Hopefully we can now see an end to the unrest on here and other forums and get back to good old fashioned banter sprinkled with some earnest football posts.

 

It's nearly summertime, maybe we should all spam the cricket forum!

Ahem, at the risk of becoming the "second" most unpopular person on this forum, I don't want to see Coach et 64 banned from the forum. Unless we are just talking about him being deposed of his Mod powers.

 

If a forum member is banned, how can he or she demonstrate a change in attitude/behaviour when confronted by the "Mods" about their posts?

 

This is he first time I've seen a post from a Mod about a specific individual, instead of an all encompassing blanket statement about posting etiquette!!

 

I say a probationary period with "post" monitoring would be in order.
