coupwotcoup
Some of the head honchos (and one or two who are not) seemed to object to the theme of said posts. I may be wrong though, I have been known to be on the odd occasion..

Roons
Is it rubbish now, I actually think if we can't have some good banter, and an occasional bite then the forum has really gone down the shitter.
Jenko
The forum is utter s**t now. Enrico posts offensive material, changes people posts on the Hullbridge forum and uses their profile to abuse other forum members, posts things that breach confidentiality yet he goes unpunished, the recent posting of someone CV being totally and utterly unacceptbale and surely breaks some kind of rule. Yet as soon as someone starts to say things about him then posts are deleted. Pure and utter crap!
Global Mod
That's subjective at best Jenko. The drivel recently removed from this forum has been repetitively posted again and again and again even after you and the other members here agreed that it should stop. People talk of the forum being spoiled by the posts/threads being removed (they are safe and not deleted by the way) and yet no consideration is given to the fact that other users with exactly the same rights as you object to the continuous abuse and same old same old arguments. Suggesting for one minute that posts are removed to protect Coach is nonsense to be honest as you are all as bad as each other and in fact the CV was removed from the Hullbridge Forum as soon as it was seen by us. Perhaps you guys should take a step back and think a little, this forum is not a personal playground for 4/5 people to abuse each other. It's a public forum open to everyone for ESL matters and if we put all of the removed threads back would that benefit the forum and the majority of its members? or would it perhaps make you realise how petty and childish it all really is? Kaiser Jnr
Hi Global Mod. I do understand that some of the forum talk at the moment is total drivel, and not good banter. I admit some of the stuff I post abusing particular members of the forum is not right, but its how I feel, and a forum is there for posting opinions, no matter how weak or strong. This forum should be used for purely football talk, and subjectively ESL subjects. But how many forums do you see all relating to the forum of which they are posting on? Nothing was said a few years ago when the banter was flying about from all angles, no matter how abusive, etc, so why should it change now? Has the recession made everyone become moody and non responsive to any sort of banter? If im being honest, there are only a few people who actually post stuff relevent to the forum, and then it strays off topic, similar to any other forum. What happened to people being deleted if constant abuse was seen again? This forum is like a drug, and the way its going at the moment, I wish I had the cure to just stay away and not post anymore, but the way I am, I always have to chuck my two-penneth in. Viva la good old days. Bring back burnhamnumber1
Rufus
Dear Global Mod, I am always interested to understand your methodology of "post censorship". By the very nature of your judge, jury and executioner role, are you not exacting your own personal form of censorship on the "attendees of the forum"? On TV the rationale is mostly "if you don't want to watch, use the button" as many things offend and many things please individuals and in that, it is what makes it all interesting. The forum should be the same, if you don't go on it, you are left alone. Even the Coach person was off for a while and the posts about him diminished. Obviously, rules are needed, but also sensibility by all. The abuse was always hard, but mainly taken in the right context and received as well as given, and made for much amusement. You have a difficult job and will never please all, but I suggest you lighten up a bit and allow for the natural selection to take place. Repetitive posts, big deal! Same old arguments, again big deal, continuous abuse, usually the same people, and when one stops it will stop, so unless one does, let them slug it out. The personal playground thing is a very "teacheresque" statement, if only 4 or 5 choose to use it as a playground, then so be it, if 100 or 150 choose to, so be it. The numbers that use are by personal choice no more. If someone does not like the ESL forum, there are a lot more. The ESL forum always was edgy, that is some of the allure, and many, many read it while not participating. If people feel petty and childish, then it is a lesson to them, however, if it promotes more fun and attracts more "voyeurs" then the real purpose is fulfilled, as I am sure this forum is not for the goodness of hearts, but to try to make money, promote something or help an ego trip. One last thing, by your own holier than thou approach, the posting of someone's personal details (CV), albeit thinly disguised, is at base wrong, and in truth open to legal approach. I understand the club are to be contacted in any case. I suggest the person is counselled. Good Night!

Global Mod
Thank you for your views Rufus, what you forgot to mention were the majority of users who have complained, or do you believe that they should use another forum? The CV being published on the Hullbridge site was wrong and was removed by us as soon as we saw it. As for legal implications, I doubt it as the CV is already in the public domain but the moral aspects of it leave much to be desired. Sorry if we have ruffled a few members feathers but its almost impossible to keep everyone happy. Let's move on shall we? Many Thanks

Jenko
I think the Moderators have a tough job and at times we as users make it harder for them. I admit I overstep the mark at times but only in response to certian forum users and after some sort of provocation. However I never post to intentionally offend, only in response to the said forum users, and that is the difference. One or two users seem to purposely post offensive, derogatory and personal comments with the sole intention of humiliating and offending. Some of the recent posts about certain forum users by one person in particular were bang out of order. I also think the question of anonymous users causes a big problem. When people sign up surely there is a way to confirm their identity that is put on their profile and if they overstep the mark then they can be traced? Banter is banter but some people overstep the mark bigtime.
coach et 64
CRFC,if someone applies for a job in real life and give false details in his application, said application will be dismissed and he could be legally prosecuted for it,especially if you apply to a public admininistration. The lesson i wanted to give to this individual is to be honest and not to live in a cucko land, because soon or later those lies will come back to bite you.I'm sure he learned that. Regarding the forum,i'm with Kaiser...
