If we'd had DH this season we would have finished top half. Not scoring goals was our major failing. Doubt if he'll return though.

The new goalkeeper that MFC are talking to is Gavin Wright.

He isn't new Paul, he has been on the bench the last month or so. Came to us to get back to fitness after a string of injuries.

I've spoke to Gavin a few times recently but was told that he's in talks with the club. Gavin is a good keeper but no better than Pat IMO. If MFC want a better keeper they'll have to pay more to get one I expect.

Yes he is I believe Paul, as last season he went on the bench to help out, earning nothing but helping the club out. Deserves a chance IMO but don't forget we have a keeper who is improving all the time in Marc Beresford.

Hmmmmm, BGA I have to disagree slightly there, nice guy and all that but I think Marc is or would be a little out of his depth in the Ryman - only my opinion..

Outfield players peak is 26-27, goalkeepers peak is 31!

 

Give Marc time and good coaching, and he will be great.

 

Remember, Pat and SCS had all the pro coaching when they were young (gills, millwall, coventry).. marc has played sunday league.. teach him, and he will improve..

with regards to the keepers, you could be with any team in the country and not have a better opportunity of top class coaching than you have here at the moment.

I know what you mean though ,and agree entirely !

 

That given; whilst TY has said that he is talking to a goalkeeper ;as far as i am aware, nowhere does it say (yet ?) that mullins is not part of next seasons plans anyway !

 

Unlikely because of finances i would have thought, but maybe Ty wants 2 experienced keepers-Mullins and AN Other.

We did afterall have both SCS and Mitten just two seasons ago !
