Yesterday's man.

Like collins and braithwaite before him-both club and player seperated at the right time

Thanks for the memories and goals, but both club and player have since moved on in different directions

Even if Margate could afford him-i'd be amazed if TY saw him as margates type of current player;where work ethic seems important

The only ex player of reknown i would like to see in a margate shirt again would be Jay Saunders

I don't think you should ever write anybody off but do find it sad that after around 2.1/2 seasons with Margate and a much lauded move to Bromley (and I paid

Danny hit some pretty good form towards the end of the season with Braintree but i think they have some money worries of there own and i think with him going to Bromley they wanted a quick route to the top so bought alot of new players in the same sort of time Danny joined worked the team to the right one , maybe danny didn`t fit into there plans like they thought he would so 2 good reasons from what i can gather makes it look as though not Dannys fault , so proven goal scorer he is , lets hope it is for us .

Up the Gate .

Michael - I'm not so sure that's the case with Danny, I think perhaps that Conference South was a bit tough for him to find a glut of goals against the tighter defences, whereas the Ryman League is a poachers delight. Probably too expensive for our budget though.

I doubt we could afford to get Danny back but I for one would be delighted to see this particular 'yesterdays man' back on account of the fact that he'd definitely score 20+. He's hardly a pensioner. Possibly an alternative would be Brendon Cass who's got a good scoring record and just been released by Dartford. Bit cheaper than Danny would be I'd guess. Also wonder if Jamie Turner's in our sights - Friday's Gazette mentioned TY was talking to a keeper and the same paper said that Turner had been transfer listed by the Rams.

We could certainly benefit from having an experienced keeper like Turner and an experienced striker. So we're saving 'em at one end & scoring 'em at the other. The 'youth' policy will only work if the team supplemented by a few wise old heads in the team too.

I think Turner is being Linked with Dartford, he lives there so makes sense, think your find the keeper he is talking too is Lee Hook, who is now being linked with Dover.

As much as I would like to see a new keeper brought in, I don't think Turner is the right way to go. Didn't rate him much in the two games he played against us: looked quite slow and cumbersome to me. We rarely worked him in either game, but the little he had to do, he didn't seem to do in a convincing manner.
