Stuart Ainsley

Recommended Posts

Hello Guys,

What did you lot think of Stuart Ainsley this season? Have you used him as a centre midfielder or a left back.

I was really suprised that we let him go because he is young and looked a real potential talent in the centre midfield. He had a fair bit to work on such as consistency of passing but we visibly noticed a massive improvement in him over the course of last season when we moved him from left back to midfield.

Started off as a left winger, but dropped back to left back and then back to left mid as the season went on. First 10 game he was a revelation, and although he hasn't been able to keep those standards up regularly, he is definitely a decent player. Puts in a good ball and am impressed with his versatility. I feel he could have a big part to play in next season.

Was superb when we first got him and couldn't stop scoring but then tailed off a bit towards the end of the season.

Still a talented player though.

Cheers for the replies guys. We played him in the centre of the park and he was like a duracell bunny. He would cover so much ground which i think we missed this year as Jeff Minton and Ollie Berquez aren't getting any younger! I expect he will get better and better as he matures because he is still very young.
