Behind Chuck (naturally) had a bit of a nightmare tonight. Let one go over his head and one under his portly frame. Was then sent off with a few minutes remaining as Hampton lost 3-2.

Hodgey got the second for Hampton, sneaking up behind Preddie after the keeper had rolled the ball in front on him, unaware Hodgey was behind him.

First of all great thinking by Hodgey it must be said. Second thing is the attendance (3,111). It's amazing how many fans come out of the blue for these types of games.

 

I like the way Hayes and Yeading have gone about things though. Picking up a number of ex Football league scholars released that are hungry to prove themselves, rather than just picking-up a load of non-league journeyman. A few of their players are ex Wycombe players released and now those players have Scouts sniffing round them. I'm hoping that's something Bates looks to do over the summer like he did with Graeme Edwards this season and Palace.
