Does going into a stadium to watch a non-football event count as a ground done?

Went over to Melbourne Park Stadium (home of Chelmsford City FC) on Sunday to see Boroboy take part in the Essex Wing Air Cadets Athletics event.

Looks a very odd ground for watching football in. On the main stand side the stand itself must be at least 20 lanes back from pitchside when you include the eight lane track plus the long jump run up plus a bit more space that has been left.

It miles from behind the goals to the walkway, although there was some evidence that they erect some sort of squared off walkway on matchdays (anyone know about this). Also as Stadiums and NIMBYS go, I am surprised they allowed City in there be it you have to drive through a housing estate (be it not a very good one) to get there. Also the local pub is a very dodgy 70's built "Charcoal Burner" type place called The Red Beret. I reckon even Coup would think twice before going in there.

I did venture there once about two years ago.. Very soul-less dump and even though it was before the smoking ban kicked in, you couldn't have a fag on their equally soul-less bar. Terrible place to watch football because of the lack of terracing. Will be interesting to see what the future holds as they threw away promotion this season.

Well I took myself on my own tour round the whole ground (outside only)
