How jealous were you Townies re the success of your nemesis Waltham Abbey last season?

It must surely stick in the craw to see a club on a very limited budget and with relatively poor support to hit the big time, while their bitterest rivals are languishing in mid-table every year and beset by all that in fighting.

By the way, how come Romford turned out in the guise of Aveley for the Capital League game at Brimsdown on Saturday? Are you the Millers' feeder club now?

Our players have played in the capital league side all season. We have had no reserve team this year so it has helped our players no end.

 

Our partnership with Aveley has been brilliant for us and I hope them this season. They have made us very welcome and the place feels like home.
