I feel sorry for both Ramblers and Barkingside that this game hasn't received a bit more prominence on here. I hope that they get a decent crowd, but surely it would have been better to have played it at Aveley (if that option had of been open) rather than out on a limb at Southend Manor?

Barkingside won 2-0....

 

A Chris Lewis penalty on the stroke of half time following a rash challenge gave 'side a lead at the interval following a poor first half.

 

Around the hour mark, the Burnham right back was shown a second yellow and saw Burnham reduced to ten men.

 

Late on, The B'side (Or maybe Aveley/Brentwood) right back finished well despite a weak hand from the Burnham keeper to make it 2-0 with ten mins to go.

 

Poor quality first half but a decent 2nd half. B'side deserved it but Burnham had a few close chances themselves.

 

Was freezing over there today!

 

The referee (The one who looks like Eminem) was terrible. He booked about 8 players and never allowed the game to flow.
