I don't like Sundays

Recommended Posts

Probably all to do with schooldays. Friday evening fantastic no more school until Monday morning and Saturday night to look forward to!

Argh..... Sunday morning......off to church feeling like death warmed up to confess my sins (well a few of them anyway).

Family Sunday Lunch.....keeping up appearances whilst still feeling slightly sick and trying to remember exactly what happened the night before. Sunday afternoon.....avoid parents and try and return to bed and ignore the pile of homework....now remembered EXACTLY what happened the night before and now trying to forget it!!

Sunday evening....feel sicker than ever now... hide pile of homework.... totally depressed at the thought of having to go to school next day.

Why does Sunday still make me feel the same way?

I used to hate Sundays when opening time was only 12:00 - 2:00 and 7:00 - 10:30 !

(NO ! I'm not talking about Church !)

I always say that the trouble with Fridays is that they're too close to Mondays. We need a total change of lifestyle in the west - drop the protestant work ethic and bring in the 4 day week/3 day weekend to start with. Work towards achieving a 3 day week/4 day weekend.

Unless you're a Bhuddist or something we have only one life, why let it slip away in wage slavedom, drudgery, and misplaced loyalty to an employer who really only wants your labour to generate his own profits, or in quiet desperation as the Floyd said?

Err, yeah, I'm a bit peed off with it all too, and I should be writing some minutes instead of pfaffing around with The Pub!

But hey, tomorrow's a Bank Holiday, so today's an honarary Saturday and tomorow is a neo-Sunday, with Tuesday becoming a pseudo-Wednesday becuase it's a 4 day week...

And there's me, waiting for eldest heir and first-born daughter to arrive with her two, and drag me and 'er indoors, SCREAMING in protest to the nearest hostelry, just so we can celebrate the starting of another week.

You must remember that Tomorrow is the FIRST day of the rest of your life.

Enjoy......................

This week is worse than ever.... I don't go back to work until Wednesday but I've still got that Sunday feeling!!

Instead of looking at a pile of homework I'm trying to avoid a pile of washing and ironing (I hate housework, there is far more to life than housework.) Then there's the garden.. by the time the grass is dry enough to mow it will be raining again!!

JR stop moaning about your grand kids... you know you love em to bits!!

Get that report written Invis!!

I also have grass to cut.

Minutes to write, about a dozen planning applications to make comments on that no-one will take any notice of, a 12 page newsletter to write, a project design to complete, and my own meagre finances to sort.

Kerrang is as distracting as the forum!

Sneaking at 8.30 sharp, roll on!
