Welcome to W'Abbey into the Ryman Prem. What a nailbiting Play Off Final v Concord today that went from (1-1 FT) to Extra Time and Penalties! W'Abbey won 5-4 on Pens applause

 

I'm sure a lot of Urchins will be aware of what they have to offer. I'm looking forwards to the fresh meat. cool

I went...well pleased I did in the end! Elmes scored a superb equaliser for Waltham Abbey, and Billy Holland scored the winning pen after missing the crucial pen in last years final for Redbridge.

Looking at what they had in their team yesterday only the three ex Urchins stand a chance of surviving in the premier division all be it in the Ryman or Southern leagues. A big clear out coming up by allotments or they will come straight back down.

No disrespect to Abbey but Ryman One North was a very weak league this season.

 

If the likes of Sudbury and Bury had stayed put rather than going across to the Southern League, they probably would have both gone up.
