It's a shame Concord didn't do it as they would have done the Ryman Premier League proud next season, Waltham Abbey will no doubt struggle and their facilities aren't great.

Rodhes, what Walham Abbey will do next year is irrilevant.Their achievement is really remarkable and people should take teir hats off to it.I'm not an FA ground grading assessor and clubs should be judged on what do on the pitch:they have beaten Concord twice in the league and smashed Brentwood 4-1 at their place. That's more than good enough to me.Give credit when is due and bugger off to the Midlands forum grin

Coachie - I don't want to take anything away from Waltham Abbey's achievement and they undoubtably deserve a pat on the back however all I'm saying is that Concord are better equipped for life in the Ryman Premier Division. Take Waltham Abbey's attendances for example which are very indifferent such as a pathetic 43 against Hillingdon Borough, 66 against Witham Town, 78 against Wingate & Finchley, 81 against Northwood and 81 against Maldon Town, when they are losing heavily every week in the Ryman Premier they will be lucky to get anywhere near those figures unless the away side come mob handed.

Twas a battle of attrition in my eyes.. Danny Heale was well contained.. Concord took the lead and a great equaliser from Abbey was nearly followed by a late winner in normal time. Seasonally adjusted attendance too, methinks. Oh and Smallsy's bald batch is coming on a treat too.. smile

According to another's predictions (and he's right far more often than he's wrong), he has Waltham Abbey placed in the Southern Premier for next season. Looking at the options, it would appear to be a toss up between Boreham Wood & Waltham Abbey as to which will one be in the Ryman and Abbey are only around the corner from Cheshunt who were placed in the Southern League when they were a Premier Div club.

Tuesday night trip to Truro anyone?
