We read quite often on hear of how one particular group made an offer-great.
That does not give them the automatic right to have it accepted.
Buyer and seller both have the choice to accept or reject terms and price.
If this group is serious-to me-they should either improve the offer and terms (and be better negotiators) or stop sticking their chests out and implying that the seller should have sold-both parties have a choice.

There would had been a much larger board, with lots of different business people all with different skills.

I think that the days of one benefactor for a club are long gone, its good in the short term but potential deadly in the long term.

i do recall that at a meeting at the club a little while ago mr piper stated that if a money person walked through the door he would sell and move aside, he didnt however put a price on the table, so makes me wonder what the groups offer was posted earlier !. Also may i add a bit here to all you people that are very upset at what is happening withing the club, ring margate fc and tell them you would like to join the board and then you will be able to see what is happening behind closed doors and also have youre say as i am sorry but whining on on the forum is getting you no where fast it is just winding you up even more. roll on next season whatever league it is.

Benevolent Dictatorship is to me the best way to run things.

 

Accepting Pageys point that large groups bring various skills which has advantages; large groups also spend too long discussing things and getting nowhere-and eventually you get divide and rule and various factions .

 

To my mind-you need a firm leader of the pack and small numbers on a B of D -4 maximum. (JP at Dover and maybe to a greater or lesser extent-KP at MFC -are they benevolent dictators ? ).

Just to clarify my earlier posting and to lay to rest what I was told to what actual happened

 

There was a meeting where the shares were talked about to be sold, at this stage I was phoned and given the sum discussed and ask how much I could raise toward this and whether or not I could get others to join.

 

The amount given to me was not an amount asked by KP, (it was an amount told to me which i believed was what KP asked for)

 

This money was raised however the problem wasnt KP Asking for more (which I again thought it to be) but to do with the trading of the shares.

 

In this case I shall have to take a leaf out of Ronks books and give my apologies to KP, which I have also done over the phone

 

Do you know what, sometimes, its just easier to pick up the phone and speak to someone
