Jack Warner lived out by Whiteness Manor and either Ethel Revnell or Gracie West was at one time in the hospital on Wilderness Hill.

Oh, and Brian Fahey who co-wrote "The Creep", wrote "At the sign of the Swinging Cymbal", (Pick of the Pops on radio sig tune) plus "Fanfare Boogie" was born in Gladstone Road, Margate.

Jack Warner did have a cottage at Whiteness Manor which was demolished years ago. My brother used to deliver his papers and caught him peeing behind his bushes one day when gardening. By the way John Le Mesuriers second wife still lives in Ramsgate and plays bridge with my Dad

There used to be a cafe in Fort Road which stars working at the Winter Gardens would often frequent. The cafe would put a sign out advertising who had been in and I distinctly remember seeing a sign outside that said "as used by members of the Edmundo Ros Orchestra".
