Cinema in Ramsgate........................

I went to Ramsgate last night to watch that 'SLUM-DOG MILLIONAIRE', it was awful, poverty, squaller, disgusting living conditions everywhere,people living in makeshift homes and sewage running in the gutters..........so I said 'sod this for a game of soldiers' and went inside and watched the film.

I remember going to the Kings(?)cinema in Ramsgate years ago. It was so dark in there that I didn't notice they had taken a seat out for some reason until I was nearly on the floor!

I dont hate Ramsgate, it's one of those jokes that can be adapted to any area you wish. I was told it as ' the cinema in Chatham'.............chill pill required me thinks.

Once upon a time: There were six cinemas in Margate . . .

 

Cameo - Northdown Road

Classic - Opposite Margate Harbour

Dreamland - Margate Seafront

Plaza - Margate High Street

 

Regal and Ritz (both destroyed during the war).

One in Cecil Square the other in Northdown Road.

Can't remember which one was where.

 

Six cinemas in Margate . . . unless anyone knows of any more.
