I do believe the local based lads were there, its the ones who live away that appear to have missed training.

But still, like someone said before, biggest game for a long time - surely everyone would make the effort or be told to? And should be every week regardless of how big the game is. Its not like missing 5-a-side with your mates, they do get paid. What happened if we just didnt bother turning up to work? Sacked.

It is because it is not a properly run football club, it is just a construction opportunity for certain people to make some cash and the lower the club sinks the easier it will be.

I think the comeing season may be different. TY and NS will stamp their own authority on proceedings with maybe players they bring in. It can sometimes work that way.It must be upheld though and the continuity of the work ethic must be instilled from the start and carried forward throughout the season. I'm pretty sure that is what took place at Dover this season..............But I suppose I could be wrong...........doubt it though.

to be fair I would say most of the squad have full time jobs and depending on their personal work commitments it's not always possible for them to be at training sessions every time so that does have to be taken on board and yes their are a few who just 'can't be bothered'but that is life in the lower league, not perfect but fact!

quite agree with these words, negates the need for the highly critical comments made in the original post of this thread.
