Berks & Bucks Cup Final - Arrangements/Tickets

First of all supporters coach - up until now the response has been very poor with only about a dozen confirming their place. Tuesday night will be the final decider so if there aren't enough people confirmed after the game there will not be a coach running - see me at the game if you're interested!

 

Tickets for the Final will be on sale at half time and after full time on Tuesday [and hopefully again on Saturday!], again see me.

The arrangements are that you cannot pay at the turnstiles, what happens is you buy your ticket from a ticket booth at the ground and there are automated ticket machines at the turnstiles so even with a relatively small crowd you can get delays getting in to the ground while everyone queues at the ticket booth. By buying your ticket in advance you can go straight to the turnstiles for entry without queueing.

Yes they do I'm afraid as it's classed as a cup game with the profits split between the 2 teams and the Southern League.

Definitely NO coach will run - seems like most are driving or placing their faith in British Rail [On a Bank Holiday!!!!].

Is anyone getting the train to the game? This is because me and a couple of my mates want to go and as there is no bus running anymore and our parents can't do lifts. We are getting the train from slough but don't know how to get from London Piccadilly to London Euston so was just wondering if anyone else was going by train so maybe we could follow behind them??

I think most of us are going by train..

 

windsor > slough 0912 slough > Paddington> (Tube to) Euston Euston to Bletchely > walk, pub, taxi or stagger..... arrive win.. get home somehow..

Going to be the largest turn out on the train since Choppers Stag Do to Taunton i expect. Dancing to Chas and Dave in the back room of a pub at 11am that day...When one of the locals put on Feeder he didnt expect all of us to sing it back word for word!! A classic day!

Ok, would it be a problem if we followed you up there just to Bletchley were the ground is if we get the 0912 from Slough? Its just we would rather go with people that know what there doing than get lost. But Don't worry if its a problem though because we're only 14

Of course you lot can however some pubs may get abit funny about you coming with us...maybe not but be prepared...espeically on the way back!

 

The plans may yet change so keep your eye on the forum! I'm sure someone will point you in the right direction if the worst comes to the worst.

nathanH7 - don't panic about getting lost. You'll be fine. If in doubt stop and ask a Policeman, or a member of the good old British Public.

 

Beforehand, remember to brush up on your Erdu, Hindi, Polish and Slovak. Address the Policeman correctly "please dont baton me officer but could you point me in the direction of" will work..

Okay thanks guys. Its just me and my two mates Liam and Adam. So in less i see anything on here shall i just get on the train from Slough to Paddington at 0912 with my mates and meet you on the train??

And if we aren't allowed in the pub we can just go off and do our own thing for a few hours before K.O then meet back up with you in the ground, so that shouldn't really be a problem.

Also, sorry to be a pain but could anyone going on that train give me a contact number so i could call them in the morning to check its all okay with us meeting and following them up there please??
