Because I wasn't there - I was at Birmingham and took in the Cadbury Athletic v Continental Star match

 

Phoned Annie at half time and she told me it was one down, and again at the end, but did not get full detal (Annie disonsolate, me too).

 

So here's all I have got and can someone fill in the missing bits for me please?

And for the record, "my" match ended 3-2 to Cadbury, att 20, and one for UM - a toucan flew over - big yellow banana bill - we think it was a toucan but it took us completely by surprise. (And please - no comments about their attendance needing a boost, or their defence melting away in the heat, but at least they went home with the bounty). And in addition to the toucan, another first as Cadbury played in deep purple, just like their chocolate wrappers.

 

Thanks for Annie for the update, but a short post match conversation as there is little to say when they have just missed the play offs.

 

Scorers - all I know is 38 mins for Sutton

Bob - they used to be called Bourneville, and are now called Cadbury Athletic. They play in the Midland Combination, Premier Division, and the standard is higher than the ESL, and about equal to the Essex Olympian Lge.

 

The reserve team play at Bourneville (right alongside the Cadbury factory) but the first team have to play at Kings Norton about two miles away as the Bourneville ground does not have floodlights.

 

The ground is about three miles south of Birmingham city centre.

 

Their average gate is only about 50, admission is

i remember going to the fa cup semi final at villa park in 99 against yanited scum,stayed up in birmingham on the saturday night before the game.Pulled some tart called kaz who worked for cadburys,waited for her old man to pick her up while i was copping hold of her and getting a feel,Next day,i was chatting to one of the gooners we had met in ronnie scotts jazz club and told her about this tart and how i waited with her for her husband to pick her up and that all brummie birds are slags,he says,i copped hold of some bird called karen who works in bournvilles,we checked the number and it was the same handwritting,same number she had just played around with the names.

Went up there a few weeks later and banged it in my lorry!
