A deserved win for us I thought. We played some good stuff in the first half and our goal was well fashioned and well taken.

 

Second half was scrappier and not so good but over the course of the 90 it was the right result.

 

Noticed Maidstone fans' POTS went to Andy Walker - he's a quality keeper and a great bloke for a bit of banter.

 

Grant and Hodgey have served us well, 12 points from 7 games at a point when we looked like we'd never win again is something they can be proud of.

 

The last two seasons have been 10th and 11th though and I think we need to aspire to better than that. Looking forward to Brian putting his stamp on our squad and to a better overall season next time round.

Good to finish with a win, but on the whole I'm quite glad the season is over... Thought we were just about the better team, deserved the lead, Maidstone missed a great chance before the half time.

 

As JL says, well done and thank you to Lee and Grant (and clipboard man2), good effort over the last month of the season. I hope that you're both involved with the club next season, but if not I'm sure you'll be very welcome at the games.

 

The major plus for me yesterday was Gameo - I think it says a lot that he has kept himself fit enough over the last 18 months that he could play a good 90 minutes so soon after coming back to playing.

Yep, it's all over now and it was a good way to finish the season. The game did have a end of season feel.

 

I thought Gameo was awesome and was pleased that he saw through the full 90 minutes. His energy has been sorely missed over the last 18 months.

 

Onwards and upwards now. A small break and we all start again.
