Poor game. Dorking 2 up at half time with probably 3 or 4 missed chances. Chobham battled on gamely but it was mostly Dorking in the 2nd half but only 2 goals to show for their domination. Wasted chances and poor decisions cost the Chicks at leaast another 4 goals.

OFFICIAL MATCH REPORT: (thanks in part to TSF !)

Dorking strolled to a comfortable win over bottom placed Chobham on Saturday in their penultimate game of the season, the win keeping Chicks in 4th spot but joining 3 teams on 67 points.

It remains as tight as ever at the top of the division, with only Staines Lammas now sure of a top 3 finish after reaching 71 points with their last game of the season on Saturday. Dorking still need other fixtures to go for them, but with their final game at Farleigh on Bank Holiday Monday will be hoping that a win their (probably by a few goals to overhaul rivals goal differences)]/i] may be enough to see them gain promotion.

From the 6th. minute when top scorer Phil Page drove into the box and scored from a tight angle the result was not in doubt and although Chobham are no longer the push overs that they had been earlier in the season following a recent change of management team, Dorking will perhaps rue not running up an even bigger winning margin.

Dorking had gone into the game slightly understrength with Adam Pero and Gary Fennessey amongst others missing, meaning that John Kennedy, normally a defender, finding himself in an unaccustomed forward role with Adrian Butler and Phil Page in the 3-4-3 formation that manager Tony Webb has recently been employing.

Dorking had a good chance to extend their lead on 12 minutes when a long throw saw Kennedy just shoot wide, but it was not one way traffic and a series of corners by Chobham just before the 20 minute mark saw Dorking
