IVE JUST HEARD THAT MARK IS LEAVING THE CLUB. ALL THE HARD WORK HE'S DONE OVER THE YEARS MEANS NOTHING TO SOME PEOPLE AT THE CLUB !!!!!!! IT'S GREAT AT THE MOMENT WITH TERRY AND BIG NEV IN CHARGE BUT WHEN THEY DECIDE TO LEAVE IN A YEAR OR SO ,WE'RE GONNA NEED THE LIKES OF MARK AT THE CLUB. IF RAMSGATE ,SITTINGBOURNE OR FOLKSTONE HEAR ABOUT THIS, IM SURE ONE OF THEM WILL SNAP HIM UP STRIAGHT AWAY,AND PAY HIM !!!!!!! OUR LOSE DONT YOU THINK ?

Surely it depends upon why he is leaving the club doesn't it?

 

I think it is wrong to assume that "all the hard work he's done at the club means nothing to some people at the club" and that the management may be at fault for letting him go.

 

He certainly does seem (to an exile) to have made a major contribution and rather than assume that there is no appreciation perhaps a fuller story might be appropriate.

 

Or is this just someone (not you oldblue) starting a rumour?

I spoke to Mark at the ground this morning. To be perfectly honest I think the opportunity that he has been offered is a no-brainer for him as is doing what he likes, training kids.

I certainly wish him good luck.

Hi, I've heard Mark's leaving but does anyone know where he's going? and are any of our young lads going with him?

I've not had chance to speak to him personnally for a few weeks but I know he thinks that the lads he's got are the best crop he's ever had.

When you think he brought through the team at Ramsgate that won the Kent league followed by the Ryman 1st division, I would say that's quite an acculade.

Wherever he goes I wish him all the best it's been a real pleasure watching his "young guns" play over the last couple of seasons.
