AFC Hornchurch V Canvey Island Darts

In the first leg of the first Bertie Brayley cup darts epic

Although AFC Hornchurch turned up with only 6 players,including Alice the "arrow" hipperson,we gained a creditable 4-4 draw.

Wins on the night by Ringer(gaffer from the rock)

Fingers(who was playing another bloke with a finger missing)

Alice lost 2-0 although she did have 27 darts at double 1 to tie 1-1 on a best of 3 game and Jordan who got the biggest cheer of the night with his leg win although the titan lost 2-1 overall.

Hornchurch o lost 2-1 although was unlucky after going 1 up and in our last game,the great escape secured a 2-1 loss against the best player for canvey which meant we tied the game 4-4 and 10 - 10 overall.

A good night had by all and the beer floweed as did the sanndwiches that were provided by our hosts.

 

 

Nice to see the canvey lads as usual,a packed club house on a wednesday night,i hope this is a sign of things to come at the bridge.

 

Will advise when the return leg at the bridge is but its one we shall all look forward to.
