Michael, your theory would be correct if the make-up of the leagues was fixed geographically. But it's not: the boundaries are drawn after the make-up of each level is decided. So clubs get 'reprieved' on the basis of their playing record (compared with others at the same level), not their location.

King's Lynn kicked out of Conference North (ground grading). I've no idea how that will affect relegation in the leagues below.

An odd one this as KL ground looks a decent ground-and it is definately being appealed anyway.

 

if it does transpire though-my take is it simply affects that league only-resulting in Hyde in con. north being reprieved and unfortunately no knock on affect at our step 3 level

I am more than aware of the theory of what you advise-as does Chris above-but i think you will find over the last few seasons that there has been inconsistency-yes-in some (more recent times ) the team with the best 19th place record at step 3 level has benefitted;but whilst i cannot be specific as to names-i am equally sure that there have been instances where individual leagues at step 3 have acted unilaterally.

Whilst it may be reported incorrectly-i don't think it is-here is an example of a step 3 league acting unilaterally this season

It depends on what league will accept the demoted side. I may be wrong when i say this but i think Kings Lynn were in the Southern Premier before the got promoted into the Conf. North. How it all works out in this situation is very confusing, but teams at this level will only ussually get reprieved if a team in the same league is demoted or if a team above are dropped 2 leagues, so in this case if Fisher drop 2 leagues to Ryman 1 then conf. south team will be reprieved as will a Ryman Prem side. This will stop overcrowding in a league.
