Isnt that what your club needs? some rich bloke to pay of all your debts? What is the latest on that? It seems so many clubs suffering at the moment.Agree it a shame for the supporters.
I may be wrong but one small blessing for us (ramsgate) is that we are debt free.( i think!)

Agree, RB. I think the reality of relegation as far as you're concerned (although horrible for you) is alot more palatable if you can be confident that the club is financially sound.

There are not many non league clubs with no debt, ours has been publicised for months and no one really knows what the truth is, as far as Ramsgate are concerned who knows? there have been so many examples of clubs flirting with success, current examples are Weymouth and Histon, you might consider Weymouth a reasonably big club although I would say no bigger than Margate but they are now in deep trouble, as far as Histon are concerned they came from nowhere to the Conference and will probably after a couple of seasons drop back again. We know what that is like because we were there too!! its all a bit like a merry go round and we are just waiting to climb on board again.

Yes Alan we do have Jimmy Ward and why you may ask? Im sure im right here but Jim only takes a small fee and imo if he was on the same wage as your terry yorath then he would probably of been sacked ages ago. Also what is neville southall on? quite a bit i imagine. Also i go to quite a few of the ramsgate games nearly all home and about a third of the away games,i do know a few of the directers and if ramsgate was in any sort of debt then it would of been mentioned.

I may be proved to be wrong but i wouldnt be surprised if the same happens to you as happened to us , when we won the kent league then the ryman 1 the following year we had a lot of local young players (like you have now, some good ones as well) who were learning the game. Great times but these young players become more confident and get noticed by other clubs who can throw more money at them (ollie shulz springs to mind) Thats where the troubles start because does a club match the wages or let them go (like rams did) and take a chance on surviving.

Trouble is neither of our clubs can afford to punch above our weight as seasidesteve says. (isnt that what you did trying to stay in the conference or am i wrong)
