The Price of Promotion

there is no set cost.if you get the right manager and a lucky run it can be cheap or it can be bloody expensive, who knows what will happen half way through the season with cup runs.

should the games be marketed properly like they were 5/6 years ago we could pull in crowds of 700 plus easily, could do that if we suddenly go 6/7 games unbeaten.Impossible to say how much it will cost.only thing you can work out is the travel costs per game and the little extras that go with it,to work out playing costs is impossible, you have to estimate but do you aire on the cautious side or go the other way

But, the starting costs of affiliation are higher than the RP. That is the starting point, though i agree with you on the others.

I dont think that even crowds of 600 will pull in enough revenue to cover the costs of that league. And, no one in thier right mind will count cup runs into thier budgets.

One thing you can say about C McB is he is a seasoned hand at pulling something out of the bag when most needed.

I just think that if either of our clubs go up or stay as we are next season, money will be tight unless the heavens are looking down on us.

trouble is rob that the marketing 6 years ago cost a lot of money that is unlikely to be available now and there was no pay back in attendences high enough to cover the cost of that advertising.....

of course everyone wants to be promoted and if someone will pay the cost of conf sarf then its a good thing...if there is no one to do that then its a bad thing as the clubs natural income will not fund it...my educated guess is that conf sarf will cost someone at least 4 grand a week in subsidies...
