Neither do i, that's why i want to be educated on it. How do the costs differ from life in the Ryman Prem?

How the bleedin hell would i know Mental? You're the one at the club all the time.
My query is general. What is the cost? Is it affordable? All i know is it's a struggle at this level. So, wonder what it will be like at the next level?

I was thinking how to bring up this topic the other day without seeming to put a damper on your season. There must be quite a big jump in costs between Ryman and Conference South, travelling and higher wage bill being the main ones, how when most clubs are finding it hard to keep their heads above water will you raise the extra cash to fund Conference South football?

Obviously your new owner knows all about this and maybe he has plans in place to fund the club. When we came up last season i don't think the club was ready and things have been tight this season but who would turn down promotion when it's offered.

travel is obviously more, crowds will get better the budget will probably not need to go up too much as i think we could compete anyway

team bath out is one long distance game we wouldn't have to go to,depends who is replacing them.

there are downs but there are ups as well

got to get promoted first though

I think that naturally the gates would go up.... at least I hope so.... therefore more gate income.

If the gates go up then the cost of advertising should go up... at least I would imagine so.... therefore more income.

More programmes should be sold.... more income... hopefully.

More folks in the bar, more sales from the club shop, more hotdogs/burgers, more shirt sales...

But I'm probably missing something somewhere aren't I?

Success breeds success. We see the gates rise when we are winning.

Mental hits on a vital ingredient. Sponsorship. A lot of sponsors for many teams have dropped off lately. All down to the present economic climate.

I know my Angels lost our main sponsor, so it's falls to the personal wealth of our Board to keep the momentum going, plus a hefty donation from a supporter for player wages and a play off push.

I just think that without the patronage of wealthy club owners or individual benefactors it will be a fools dream to expect to stay up if promotion is gained.

there will always be people who want to use sponsorship as a marketing tool for there business, you just have to go out there and find them.If anything people may be more willing to sponsor now than before as their business' are struggling, just got to find the right market
