And on some occasions ,Ian makes valid and fair and balanced contributions `to debate ;and i personally think that it does no harm to keep our more myopic views of MFC in check.

Echoing MM, IS has on occassion made very sensible and intelligent contribution to debate, which should be welcomed. Unfortunately he also tends to let himself down with inane or banal commentary, often in a repetitive fashion until someone bites. The fact that someone usually does bite encourages him to proliferate his work.

 

I don't know the bloke, but I've always genuinely assumed he's a teenager without work / purpose.

 

If this were the case, would I want to engage in tit for tat with him? Or if my assumption is incorrect (doubtless it is!), then I rest with the knowledge that he is a grown man that comes over as a teenager without work / purpose, and therefore needs no retort!

 

There is not intended to be insulting to IS - on the contrary, I think he should be encouraged to contribute more of the and intelligent stuff.

I must say that I am a terrible 'wind-up' merchant and a lot of the time my retorts are aimed at getting him going. Points above are well taken and I will no longer antagonise the person involved.
