DJ has been better in midfield recently. Seems to have lost speed and confidence upfront.

unfortunatley heard the same rumor, overheard in the didcot bar saturday.. hope its not true! good to see Calvin at the game sat, hope kev managed to sort his ankle out! hope hes back coaching / managing next season... if not he can come and watch us!!

DJ has never had any speed.

Looking at things logically, when at AFC Hayes he was surrounded by pace and took full advantage of it to score a hatful of goals.

I definately wouldn't want Sweetman back. Most of the players he brought in have turned out to be duds.

If Bateman stays he will bring in much better quality players of the ilk of Sinclair, Sweeney and Kean and Sealey.

DJ has had to go looking for the ball far too much all season. even now we do not get crosses in which is surely what he would thrive on. think even with a few wide players brought in we now suffer from almost the shock that we have wide players and now ignore them. bit unlucky with injuries to Sealey and Sinclair just recently really

I went to didcot saturday and what a waste of time it was. Thank christ the weather was nice it was the only high point of the day. We had one shot at goal all afternoon couldn't string two passes together and I may be wrong but can't remember any corners all afternoon. We created absolutely nothing yet our great new manager wouldn't even put sonny or luke evans on to at least try something different. No wonder luke was standing by the corner flag talking to the crowd, I'd be cheesed off if I was him as if he's fit he should be playing, at least he's passionate. Sonny was also consistently one of our best players yet since bateman arrived he hasn't played him. I know he's young but again at least he trys which is more than can be said for a lot of our so called players.

 

Its only because my blood is amber and blue that i keep going but i really do wonder why i bother half the time.

I can't register because i can only use a work computer but if i did I think I would call myself Depressed of Slough!!!

I must admit, not just in the Didcot match but in other matches as well, the use of the subs has been a bit perplexing to say the least. Why no subs were used on Saturday is beyond me.

 

Apparently one more booking for Dean Harper and the club are up before the FA and Harper will miss matches at the start of next season. Bateman took a big risk in playing him Saturday, especially as we had Evans on the bench.

 

Why take the risk when we had Evans on the bench?

Why use your subs who you know are going to be there next season. Why is that so difficult to understand ? The rumour is that those playing are the ones who are in the pack of undecideds. Very unlikely Harper will be at the club next season if the source is reliable.

Sorry, I think it's your wording thats difficult to understand.

I think you must mean why use the subs when they are not going to be here next season?

Most sources I've heard say that Harper is one of the players who will be here next season.
