Just as well after that shocking display. If some of the players had put in a fraction of the effort and commitment of those who walked we might have got somewhere.

Thankfully the season is now all but over, and today was little different to the rest of the season with the game over as soon as Didcot scored.

Time to blood more of the youth team. There are a number of players who won't be here next season and there is little point in playing them all.

First of all, massive thanks to Cirencester. I really would not have been wanting to go into the last week of the season wanting something.

That's the big positive today, as we were not good today. Didcot were not that great, but well organised and like SYCOB last week, showed that you have to be a well organised team in this division to compete with match winners like Diddy have in Jack King, and SYCOB do in Bradley Bubb. Were just a bunch of highly inconsistant individuals, who do not perform a lot of the time and defintely are not a team.

Personally, can't wait for this season to be over so Bateman can really bring in players that the club and great support deserves and build a team. Again, must have been 80+ there today for a side four off the bottom of the table.

Massive overhaul of players defintely needed, I can only think we'll keep a handful of the current squad but the important thing is were now safe, and we defintely know what league we'll be in next season and Bateman can start planning for pre-season now.

Roll on pre-season!

i dont understand why no subs were brought on

we had a spell of 10-15 minutes after half time that we looked like we might threaten but then the 2nd pen killed us completely

at least 4 or 5 players from the team today dont deserve to stay even if they want to which they prob dont

a 1-0 there was always a chance but 2-0 game over although this should not be the case all the time we must make sure we are up for the fight of battling back

Didcot could have scored at least 2 or 3 more but tbh they didnt look particularly that good considering they are in the playoff position currently. makes it even more annoying though as you really dont need to be massively good to get in the playoffs

Roger that is a very good point. no player is going to give his all if he truly believes he is not wanted or feels his time is nearly up at the club. tbh if this is the case why should they care in fairness??

huge changes to the playing squad will not bring instant turn around either so please fans do not expect instant success if we do change a lot of players

Rumours are rumours. Might be true, might not. The way I see it, some players have given up on this season, whether they feel they will be replaced or not. What happened to the idea of playing for your future? Today was really poor - it felt like we had nothing to play for, when we clearly did. If some of the players didn't fancy it, then play the youngsters. We had four of them on the bench today, and yet not one was used.

I think it's quite pathetic the way we've limped over the line yet again this season - at least we'll be spared the ignominy of a reprieve this time.

I think we as supporters deserve a lot better, having endured the last three seasons. We still turn up in good numbers to most away games, but have consistently been disappointed. So I couldn't agree more, roll on pre-season when Steve Bateman can start to mould a team.

Again another poor performance, and i will say a big thank you to Cirencester for keeping us up as i dont think the players have any fight for the next 2 games to get anything. I really hope Bateman can sort things out and we challange for the play offs next season, saying that i thought we would be up there this season but thats another story..

I think the source of that particular rumour was Dean's father, so it might be a bit biased.

Elsewhere I heard that the Idwediuno brothers and Shaun Byrne have all left the club.
