With a big interest in Everton I was just glancing down the BBC's preview of the semi against Man Utd and found this: Click here. Stick with it and scroll down becasue there's a then (1995 smile ) and now about Nev.

Also this on BBC (taken from one of the rags apparently).

 

"Wayne Rooney made a fool of former Everton goalkeeper Neville Southall - when he was just 11 years old. The Manchester United striker was Everton mascot in 1995 and, while warming up with the Welsh goalkeeper, he continually chipped the ball over Southall's head into the net".

 

It wouldn't be proper to mention any connection with the amount of times thats happened to Pat Mullin this season, would it?

I'd kill for Wayne Rooney to play for MFC for just one match and chip the keeper!!

 

Well, maybe two matches considering our current position....
