You made my afternoon a very proud and happy one.

Straight away attracting the far post defender your way to allow Danny Young to come in and score the goal. Followed up by 1st class hold up and lay-off play. Top class commitment of closing Ramsgate's back line and goalkeeper down from which you nearly scored in the last few moments of the game.

I walked out of HP very proud in the knowledge of singing your praises to all that were standing around me during the game and never letting me or MFC down.

Top class performance for one so young in only 10 mins of being on the pitch. It's great to have watched young player's,over the years. Like yourself, Kenny Pratt, Curtis Robinson, Luke Wheatley, Aaron Quain all starting to come through system and all doing so well.

Thankyou,

John.

No disrespect to the other players in the ressies on Saturday, Ollie Grey was head and shoulders above any one else on the field. What a prospect.

I'll hold my hand up & admit that I don't believe that Joe is ready yet for first team football. He's young and raw, plus he looks overawed when he plays for us.

On a positive note, he is young and enthusiastic with bags of potential. I believe he would benefit from being a member of the first team squad to learn the strengths needed at that level. But, after training, should just carry on playing for the Reserves - he needs to learn to use his size to his advantage and get plenty of goals for the Reserves - the confidence he'd gain would make him a better player. I think he's definately a star of the future ... but not quite yet.

Maybe there's no better time PW. You are short on options. Wealthier clubs can afford to bring in the tried and tested for this last Ryman push. A club facing relegation cannot.

Young Joe, stepped up to the plate and changed the game on Saturday...He came on and was influential in the only goal scored. Not a bad way to cut his teeth and gain the experience he needs.

But, it's all about opinions and in a footy world with a level playing field things would be different.

Tend to agree with Jane here. We need to win at least one game and with home advantage we need to make Saturday count. Joe seems to be a confident lad but young strikers will miss chances. However I'm sure he'll take his fair share too. Not sure if he's ready to start but wouldnt be worried about throwing him on for the second half.

Agree with both you and Jane. He needs more time but also needs the experience of coming of the bench in everlonger time spans. Its the same with Sam Cliff, loads of talent but be gentle with the introduction, do not give them to much pressure to early. The odd one will stand it and flower, most you will lose.
