A bit on todays game.

Just got in to find the missus having found out the score had put a congratulations banner on the front door!

As for the game itself, the usual not very good Thanet Derby. The only real difference this time was that Ramsgate did not offer that battling attitude they normally show against us. They were shocking and although we weren't great on the day I think we were by far the better side.

The only real talking points were Kenny getting subbed just as it looked as though he was going to get a second yellow - this caused JW to rush over to our dugout and there was a bit of handbags, Danny's late goal from a really tight angle, and the nerve-wracking 4 minutes of stoppage time.

All in all a satisfying day.

Also surprised at the crowd being just under 1000. I was expecting 750-800. General consensus was that it was about 50 from Ramsgate.

I think there was probably another 100 Ramsgate fans in our end. No trouble at all that I saw.

at ten to one i counted approx 90 supporters in our end with latecomers i would say 150 tops. Yes scrappy game well done, apart from the goal was there a shot on target? Def pen to us at the end but some you get some u dont. You will beat staines imo but the tough one will be sutton as they will want to finish fourth and avoid staines.Anyway good luck.

From a Ramsgate perspective I thought it was the usual local derby lots of big boot and chasing not a great lot of constructive football with one goal liable to win it.Overall Margate probably shaded it with neither keeper having much to do apart from crosses and long throws( your guy must have one of the longest throws in the league).Still 3 points gives you hope,all the best for the next couple of games(said through gritted teeth)

Nice one reddy,IMO I think its a shame ramsgate have to go down and I hope we dont follow you as it would be nice to see both sides at the top of the league,but thats football.

i think we deserved that win, fair and square... unlike the red team, we actually went forward more than once... not that i'm commplaining. after the last couple of games Mullin needed a clean sheet... he didnt even have to work for it! great stuff!
