We need to take a look at just what HAS been achieved a very short few years.

The momentum and optimism of the early years seems to have been lost.
Another dire season in a dire league and the club seems to be divided by off the field rivalries. Very sad.
I really think moving to an athletics ground is a bad move as well.

It's always good to sit down and reflect on what has been achieved in such a short space of time because it helps to plan for the future. However, it's good to read that someone else thinks on the same lines as myself and asks 'whether we we are really as big as some people want us to believe?'

Totally agree, I think we may of all got carried away with the success of the first five years or so, but the last couple of seasons have not just stagnated but gone backwards on the field, lets hope we get it right next season, just challenging the top three would suffice.

Again totally agree, I commented last August when the league was announced how poor it looked, I didnt at the time think we would under achieve to such a high level though.

Moving to the QE is great news, the athletics track on the other hand is not something I had envisaged or believe the club in the outset was either, but we will just have to see if we can make it work.

I would'nt be so extreme though your opinion is your opinion.

Momentum???? Lost??? Not off the field it is'nt, we have a new stadium to look forward too, that was'nt such a prospect during our play off challenging seasons.

Dire season???? extreme in my view, we are 9th and have had some people management issues to deal with through the beginning and mid season, where a 'mafia like' contingent was broken up along with player power, thats been sorted now and the future has'nt looked brighter in my view.

Dire league??? at Ryman North Div 1, what do you expect, however, we have some wonderful players now, i'm not gona mention them again, as they are on previous posts/threads.

Off field??? unfortunately we have one/two people creating a division and for a small club, in my view one person in particular needs to go away and exert his glorious self somewhere else, he is no good to us and I believe that when a re-election of officers come around, our good members will use the democratic rights to express their views accordingly. So not as sad as is made out.

Moving to a new ground with athletics track??? Not ideal, but not original either, other clubs have them and have seen success, in fact its a ready made fitness training centre for the team and we wont have to use the Pickets lock site anymore therefore cutting back on training facility costs, very positive in my view. Additionally, when the schools/others use the track they will see ETFC too living their thus raising our presence and profile.

As others have (at last) realised we are only 8 yrs old, we have taken a breather for 18months from all the exaggerated expectations, but I see us kicking on from next season, so long as the majority of the board continue (no reason why they should not) and the present management build on the current nucleous.

Everything is in fact, not too far away from falling into place.

If anyone wants to compare failure/problems/underachievement and divisions then look no further than the Theobolds Lane mob, they are dropping like a stone. Now thats a club who have their own ground/facilities and are a very well established club, but have fallen behind us. Not bad for an 8yr old club. But a promotion would do us a world of good.

EU. The previous thread was locked because of what was printed about certain individuals and now you have made it known, according to your own sources, that there is a division within the board and that members will 'use the democratic rights to express their views accordingly'. Meaning, if I am reading this correctly, vote off the board member/s at the next election for something that s currently going on. If said individual/s are not up for re-election, then they stay on unless voted off under advisement by the board. Mind you, a high perentage of members need to vote against a board member to remove them from office. The board cannot do this on their own unless Articles and Memoranda rules are broken.

If members are unaware of what is supposedly happening behind the scenes, then there is no cause for alarm, or is there?

See you at the game when ETFC do the double over the WAbbey.

I can't really see what was so terribly awful about the locked thread. All a bit silly, certainly, but hardly the end of the world and something of an over-reaction to lock it.

Why does everyone talk about the QE as being 'our own stadium at last'? We alreaday have a half share of a lease on one, and the QE as I understand it will not be ours, we will have use of some parts of it on some days.

Turning into a slanging match.... It already had. Let's just hope that all those involved are treated equally

What our club needs is people to come forward and say 'what can I do for my club?' not what my club can do for me. The fact that we have supporters who dont feel it neccessary to be members and express an effective opinion with votes that will help run the club as their opinions wish, then we will have this continuos ineffective fault finding negativity that exists on this forum and brings out the 'frank' side of me.

I believe we now have to back the team managers 100% in setting up a squad for next season in the constructive way that they seek.

We need supporters to be positive with many things to look forward too. Things are'nt as bad as some comments on here are suggesting.

But above all, the board need to be United and working together positively and successfully in creating a football set up from top to bottom and actively involving the community too.

But the board and others only want helpers who's face fits, have no opinion and will not voice their own opinion.

how can anyone back the managerS? when they are a the "laughing stock" in the league, not my words but from those of someone involved with officaldom

anyway, what happened to the EGM?
