Slough Town vs Taunton Town

2-2 draw, unfortunately I cannot help but think it was a fair result in a poor game.

We went ahead twice and then conceded soft goals, the second of which was a penalty.

I thought that Sealey had a really good game today, looked quite dangerous down the wings.

One point gained maybe? Or two lost? I'm not so sure, we threw away the lead twice, but Taunton had their chances and missed a few easy ones.

Will have to see how Winchester and Bracknell got on.

well to be honest ..got out of jail today...however as we are told every week when slough should be 2 or 3 up before the other teams score..happened in reverse today...Taunton should have been out of sight in the first half, Thanks to Jacko ! we were level at half time...

second half was a frustrating affair ...one shot(header) one goal for slough...and taunton hit back in less than a min ! but Slough came into the game a bit after that and scored a very very good goal... Now the talking point !

The ref failed to give a clear push on our defender , the ball got play across the area to the wing and the taunton player blasted the ball which hit poor ryan on the arm ..a clear penalty ..how ever the fact the ref miss a blatant foul..just made the crowd wild..and who could blame them ..the ref was horredous for not allowing the game to flow, on many occassions when the ball was with the keeper he would blow and give an offside..instead of allowing play on ...Slough should have had a penalty when the defender clearly hit ryan fenton and not the ball ! and the sad thing about this the accessure rekoned the ref had a good game ! well if he could not see what was going on no wonder these refs get to way they are now !

Credit to taunton ..they kept going and if they had left todays game without a point would have been a traversty,,,

They officals and supporters were first class too...hope they survive..

cheers chris s

A point was fair in the end but the officials were shocking which made it a bitter point!

I thought Sinclair was good when they actually passed to him and we looked much better with Sealey on the right and Bubb wide Left with Platt upfront.. i hope they start like that with Sinclair in the middle next game!

Jordan looked well off the pace... he was unlucky not get the first goal even though he tried to claim it.. he was a mm away from touching Bubb's cross.

Have to disagree. A point was not a fair result. We were outplayed for much of the game by Taunton. Also Sinclair has to play wide right, he is the only player who can take a man on, beat him and then send in a decent cross.

Also, might be wrong but I thought the first goal was DJ's ?

i thought DJ did score though the cross may have gone straight in

Sealey was very quiet on the left but fantastic on the right

can only assume Platt is carrying a knock because him not starting was very strange if not

bit worrying to see the likes of Sweeney, Sealey and Sinclair hobbling about the pitch 2nd half. would not be surprised if Fenton is injured after that crunching tackle in the Taunton box

best not to bother mentioning much about the ref who did all he could to kill the game for both teams. so many fouls he ignored particularly in our favour

The officials today were probably the worst we have had this season. They got more decisions wrong than they did right and if Chris S comments about their performances being rated as good is correct then the next charity game we play, should be "Spec's for Refs".

From where I was stood behind the goal it looked like DJ got the slightest touch to help it in.

Why did it take Bateman so long to bring on Platt? we were crying out for someone with pace and finishing ability as DJ struggled to get going and failed to key into the game.

Steve Sinclair had another good game, but looks like the knock he picked up at Winchester was the reason he came off early.

Mondays game against Jarvo's SYCOB mob could be intresting, as they cant win the leauge and are safe in the play offs. So other than playing for final leauge position for home advantage they may well rest players ready for the playoff games.

Please, please can we stop the barracking of the management to bring on subs when things aren't going to our liking.

I dont know if it's fuelled by drink but it is getting a bit annoying now like they know better than the management who are paid to do a job.

It is not only antagonistic and non-productive but not having the desired effect.

Yes a poor game, and the point suits us a lot more than Taunton. They were well worthy of a point but we were unfortunate in that the equaliser came from those circumstances, so late on too. There was a foul in the build-up and I think it was a harsh award against Fenton.

It would be nice to get a point or three on Monday to finish off any doubt, but I'm sure SYCOB will have other ideas.

The Platt thing was just frustration. Jordan wasn't having the best of games and we didn't look like scoring at that point.
