It is my understanding that there are three nominees from each club on the board of Goldsdown Holdings who made the decision with regard to the use of the lounge.

At least one of the nominees from Enfield Town did not support the use of the lounge as the board room.

Perhaps that nominee could explain his decision.

I was led to believe that GH are made up of 4 BR Reps and 3 ETFC REPs, I stand to be corrected.

There are an equal number of rep's from both clubs, then if a majority decision couldn't be reached it would go to an independent arbitrator.
As Steph says, if one of the Town reps has done this then he has some explaining to do.

To whom? ETFC supporters society limited's shareholders? If it is as you say, then why did this happen and it does show a certain lack of understanding for those who have worked tirelessly to provide hospitality in a board room, whether that be before, during or after a game.

Whatever the whys and wherefores and who vote for what, I find it inconceivable that a lounge/boardroom type of facility is not to be used for hospitality.

This seems to indicate how low the aspirations of our club have sunk, in that we honestly think a portakabin is suitable for hospitality at this and higher levels. This is real Mickey Mouse stuff. Next you'll be telling me our directors wear jeans and T-shirts!

As an example, the mighty Brighouse Town have such a facility (Koolsport North East Counties Division One, Step 7) - which they aspire to improve upon in due course.
