Romford v Enfield (1893)

Recommended Posts

Who do you want to go up and why?

Pro Romford:

1. Their fans are a lovable bunch of kents who I want to do well.

2. They are an Essex club.

Pro Enfield (1893):

1. They are not an Essex club so shouldn't really be in the ESL.

2. Ware FC and Broxbourne are both outside of Essex and a long way away on a wet Tuesday in January, whereas Aveley/Chadwell Heath are fairly local.

I wish both clubs well and both are and have been a credit to the ESL. May the best team/club win!!!

They are both two great non league clubs who deserve to go up.There are a lot of clubs in the bottom half of the Rym 1 north that struggle every year and still keep their places. The Ryman agreement never worked in our favour...it has been only taking and rarely giving something back.

Id prefer Romford over Enfield. Even though romford fans wind me up and make me wanna smash windows and have the cheek to come back from 2-0 down with 5 minutes left to win(!!), nothing will stick in my memory more than enfield getting our game with them abandoned on purpose with us leading 2-0 at half time. Justice was done in the end though and id love to see that fat mug in the orange safety office jacket and shamou the fat bint in the clubhouse just to rub it in again.

Plus i have a soft spot for the young bloke who has supported Romford for his whole life who commentates on the games from the stand . That bloke is a legend.

Spooky.

In last night's programme was: -

"The blue'n'whites came up with a highly innovative and original idea when trailing their Canvey based amigos last term to avoid being beaten. Much like Manchester United's corner routine, when losing 2-0 to Concord and facing certain defeat, they simply turned off the floodlights, showered and bu99ered off home."

Honestly don't mind who goes up. Would like to see it go to the last weekend, whoever wins it. Romford probably deserve it for their consistency but Enfield would also be a credit to the Ryman.

I hope we go up so i can blow a few more floodlights up, especially yours at Concord. You might have to turn them off, cause we will turn you over twice if we go up next season. You and the Townies will get relegated. Ha ha ha. Enjoy the rest of the season, hopefully see you next season.

Credit must go to enfield for the way they have persued Romford and not thrown in the towell , 15 wins from 16 matches is great form , If Romford do slip up again then that would be very embarrassing .

C R Boss I trust you have a few sleepless nights last season . You should chill now mate . A chairman should not behave like you do.

Romford....Cracking club with decent supporters and a great history.

Enfield have only been a club for a couple of seasons and living of the back of the famous Old Enfield.

Speaking to knowledgable older non league followers, they speak that Enfield Town are actually regarded as the proper Enfield nowadays. brille008

Only Joking grin....chill out Enfield fans, ecspecially Old Timer who loves a bite up and moan at everyone on here! discussion

On a serious note, Both clubs have been a credit to the league and I am sure that both would comfortably be mid table in the Ryman North from what I have seen. Good luck to whoever clinches promotion, although if I had to choose then Romford would be my choice if for no other reason than for the fans.

Everyone knows and likes Neil. He said to me last night I saw you at the weekend. When I asked him where he said "at Southend Manor". He also told everyone as they left last night that Basildon had drew with Enfield.
