Basildon United 0-2 Enfield 1893

Romford 2-2 Stansted

 

I was reliably informed that all the Stansted team were at Mill Field at 6pm so they were obviously up for it!

 

Romford still strong favourites, surely two wins are enough, but it's not all over, with Enfield 9 points back, having played 2 games less, and Romford still having a goal difference advantage of 20.

Romford have three away games against Eton Manor, Sawbo and Barkingside to come. Win those and the title is theres. But on current form, you wouldn't put your house on it...

 

Enfield 1893 have a massive week coming up. Cup final against Burnham on Saturday, then they go Barkingside (Home), Bowers (Away), and Bowers again (Home) in the space of 5 days. Finishing off with Eton Manor and APSA away on the following Tuesday / Thursday. That is seriously tough, and they will have to hope they have a big enough squad to pull through. They still need to hope Romford drop another 3 points (4 if you consider the goal difference).

 

Takeley have too much to do really. Basildon (Away), Burnham (Home), APSA (Away), Barking (Home), is whats left for them. But they have to hope Romford completely mess it up, and Enfield drop points.

 

Exciting stuff...

I think that's being a bit too disingenuous and simplistic. Southend Manor have had 5 games in 10 days, against the top 3, a derby game, and a trip to Eton Manor, which is never a cakewalk. They still managed to take 9 points from that haul. Last night they would simply have been knackered, I was actually surprised they kept it under 5.

 

What I have noticed from Manor, though, that whoever they've played this season (from what I've seen), they've put in just as much effort against the lower placed teams as against the top teams. To suggest otherwise is somewhat unfair.

It will be derisory anyway because Romford will get 4 points from Eton Manor and Sawbo games taking them to 68.Enfield will pick up 12 out of 15 in the next 5 games to take them to 67.Up the Boro!!Campioni,campioni,campioni,campioni excited

Enfield 1893's congested run-in will do for them... Again.

 

Two games against Bowers in 3 days will be interesting, Thurs 16th at Bowers, with the return fixture on the Saturday.

all your post achieved was insulting other teams in the league who will now raise their game even more against you. well done boroman. if romford fail to win the league i'm fairly certain it is going to be your fault. no pressure mate.
