Sleepless nights, no end of worry, a place where I never want to be again. BG fought relegation twice in our first two seasons in the Premier and I was in for the ride both times Weebs, even when the team manages to stay up the brief elation and releif doesn't compensate for the misery and stress of the previous weeks and months.

I agree Hoggie but it never happens. Hopefully over the next couple of years the league will be in a position to do 3 up and down.

who knows wacko, who knows mate?? I can honestly say that this league has got to be the worst for decision makeing and leaving stuff to the last minute!! all these issues should be sorted at the beginning of the year and stuck to!! but it seems that as every month goes buy they just chop and change things. imo!!

Think you'll find it's the FA that keep changing the goal posts Butler, The league stated 3 up 3 down at the AGM last season the clubs voted on it and it's down to the clubs to have the facitities in place and be in the top 3 at the end of the season to gain promotion.

The FA changed the goal posts last month by changing the date that clubs "believed" they had to have the work done by and well done to CW and RPV for achieving the work in time. That was not down to the CCL !!!!!

I think your right Eye1, not got then to hand but it does ring a bell that if there is a short fall of teams in the Premier and teams in Div 1 with the correct grading then the can be promoted

Was this what you were looking for?

ii) The Competition will accept the champion club, the runners-up and the third place club from Division One into the Premier Division, providing that they meet the standard grading requirements for entry to the Premier Division of the Competition.

iii) An application from any other club wishing to join the Premier Division of the League will be considered on its merits. Any such application will be at the discretion of the Management Committee but subject to the rules of the recognised National League System Committee of The Football Association.

iv) The three clubs finishing at the bottom of the Premier Division will be eligible for relegation to Division One of the Competition.

v) No club will be relegated from the Premier Division if by doing so, the membership of the Premier Division would fall below 22 for the following season.

vi) Notwithstanding any of the above, should the number of clubs eligible to take part in the Premier Division exceed 22, the number of clubs allowed to join will be reduced accordingly, at the discretion of The Board, but subject to the rules of the Leagues Committee of The FA.

The rules look to favour Premier teams with correct grading not getting relegated, rather than Div 1 teams outside the top 3 with correct grading getting promoted.

I'm not going to speculate too much on DFC's chances of promotion until after my visit to MVSCR's ground this evening. (Yes - I'm actually doing an away game. Odd, I know but Meadowbank is match-free tonight).

I'll just say one thing though. Lester Boniface is back !

... and we did score 3 goals in the first 14 minutes last Saturday, against a team that recently BEAT MVSCR !

Re ground grading I wonder if three teams might still go down if two go up and we get an applicant for the Premier Direct?
