Was extreamly tired reading the last thread with GS and Guv comparing who pays more taxes thought id get back to football.

 

Epsom 2 Cove 4

 

At last we turned a good performance into a good win. Quite and even first half neither really creating many clear chances.

Game came to life just before half time EE keeper punched the ball onto our CF head which went back to other way into the top corner for 0 1, Half time.

 

Second half EE got a goal out of nothing speculative shot took deflection and that was 1 - 1. Straight back down the other end cove CF shot comes off the post but scored the rebound.

 

Was mostly cove from then on and got futrther in front when anoher cove shot comes off the post and JJ fired in No3.

3-1 and coasting then a long ball over the top not dealt with and the No8 (i think)for epsom made it 3-2 with 10 to go. then Epsom did put us under lots of pressure mainly from dead ball situations but we held firm and with their keeper in our penalty area we cleared down field to score into an empty net with the last kick of the game for 4-2 and the 3 points.

 

Was a big result for us after our form over the last month.

 

Two trips to Merland rise this year and 9 goals scored including 2 for Brunty and 2 for JJ. Can we play there every week.
