I would like to respond to the article in the NLP Icouldnt believe my eyes when I read it.

I was contacted on Tuesday regarding Jason leaving the club

I said I felt desperately sorry for him as I knew how hard he had worked to make a sucess of it.

In conversation I said we were really pleased to have signed 5 new players on deadline day only to be deflated when I saw the posting on the forum which said the players we had signed were not good enough for BTFC and I said sometimes the poistings on the forum can be harsh and negatative, I NEVER mentioned anything regarding the fans (SLAMS THE FANS) what absolute rubbish. I shall be contacting the NLP_ tomorrow.

Richards, I informed the Chairman several weeks ago that I would stand down at the end of the season as I thought Jason Lee and Steve Heffer would make agood team when however Jason left the club I offered to stay on if required till the new manager was in place.

In my time with BTFC i have always enjoyed the banter with the supporters and so I hope that those who no me will ignore the crap that has been written.

Yes, it is...and like the News Of The World or The Sun, to be taken with a bit of salt. That isn't to say that some of it isn't required reading and to dismiss the paper completely out of hand is wrong. It does carry some good "headline" pieces that, altho can develop into the usual tabloid sensationalism, are informative as regards the state of Non League at present.

And if we dismiss it out of hand and stop buying it, there isn't anything around to replace it (altho, I'm sure there will be something that will). Yes, it degrads itself at times by some "[****!!****]" journalism but I myself prefer a newspaper than an internet site...
