Hornet
Yes Cookie, terrible to make a comment on something that actually happened in real life-keep your head in the sand and let's pretend it didn't happen. Having said that, my nan could have saved them with an orange under her chin, two shopping bags under each arm and me grandad doing her from behind!!! The clips of the goals were readily available to the world & yes I did get annoyed when I saw those errors.I agree not actually being there gives no absentee the right to make a comment but as can be clearly seen on the footage (on two of them anyway) errors were clearly made by Pat on the day, errors he/we can ill afford to make. Just as the team has performed well recently when Pats form prior to Saturdays game was inspiring so could it be said that those errors maybe contributed the rest of the team being concerned about the final man & succumbing to the opposition on Saturday.Maybe maybe not. I meant no harm,in fact it was hopefully a spur for next week as well as my frustration boiling over. Pat has had my support on many occasions (sometimes not) but in the main I can count myself as probably one of a few that has praised him when doing well.Moreso than some coming on here berating me for putting him down on this occasion. Okay maybe I should have kept my opinion to myself but at the time,I was,as most were, fuming at the collapse & reversal on Saturday. I can't delete the thread now the damage has been done (or as many out there believe).I personally don't believe that to be the case. I am of the mind that Pat will come out stronger, more pepped up, more alert & more determined than ever to perform without errors of that nature again in the last 4 games. I'm sure he will return to the form prior to Saturday & be our star man in each of those games & ultimately help save us from relegation. We WILL go on to defeat Heybridge & Ramsgate & then be in a good position going into our last two games. I apologise to those I may have offended (bigtw excepted),& of course to Pat in particullar if so, but at the time I was bubbling over like so many of us were. Pat has had some magnificent games lately & has improved parts of his game also & no that shouldn't be forgotten so I apologise for jumping in with my thoughts post match on this occasion. Coffin Ender
On Saturday we could also have blamed Keiron Morris for getting sent off, or Kenny Pratt for missing two great chances in the first half. Harrow absolutely battered us in the second half. They could have scored seven or eight, we just were not winning any tackles in midfield. There is a team responsibility for the defeat, it wasn't just down to one person. What's happened has happened. The squad is not going to change now so we just have to move on to the next game.
