Their goals on film - Mullins

Well having seen their 3 goals & despite praising Mullins for his recent good form,I have to concede that yesterdays goals were all avoidable & all goalkeeping errors. I didn't realise they were all clear cut as that & all down to him.I can now see how those that went there were dismayed at his efforts.I too would have been fuming.I mentioned elsewhere that we win or lose as a team.I take that back on this occasion & I feel very sorry for the other lads now.

Goal 1: How on earth did Mullins manage to squirm that ball out of his hands into the goalscoring position in which it was put into the net. Have tried several times in slow-mo but still can't work it out. Did he actually "throw" the ball across goal?

Goal 2: He came he saw he cocked up. How bad was that. Scorer got in front of him on that one & that should never happen.

Goal 3: Slippery fingers indeed.Easiest catch he'll have all year.Much much too casual for my liking.

All 3 goals unnecessarily conceded having seen the film.

Don't know what others think but that really was atrocious goalkeeping.

Sorry Pat but I can't back you up now having seen those errors.

Anyway the link is here:

I say it as I see it Ian,no witch hunt. Up to now I have,in the most, backed Pat.Yesterday can't be excused & if he sees the replays I'm sure he will be thinking the same.

As I said I tried to see it in slow-mo a few times but each time I thought he had hold of it.However, what you say does clear up for me how the ball got to where it did.

As you were actually there Chris I accept your comments on the first goal.Oh & yes as others have said thanks for the updates yesterday.

CE of course I'll get behind the lads for the final games & that includes Pat but this thread is about yesterday & not other games past or future.

Quickly though I agree we have to all put this behind us & get on with the job in hand & during the week the squad need to talk & be talked to & work on things in preparation for those last few games.

Any loss of Wayne will be a major problem for us. How us he by the way?. Anyone know?

This is very unfair. Attacking Mullins on his performance with 4 crucial games to go can only damage his confidence when we need him to be at his best. Those that know me know I know my stuff in goalkeeping. Have any of you thought that the sun may have been in his eyes for the 2nd and as for the third he was at full stretch. He should have tipped it over but I think he probably knows that. He doesn't need people slating him on here, facebook or anywhere else....... Chin up Mullins.

indeed! no need for this really

wudnt dream of replacing him at the moment considering the position we are in and how it would effect the team if he was switched with someone else

however, is their any potential signings for next year? rams are basically down, how about any of their goalkeepers?

you got a message on facebook from a certain person as well . I sent him a reply telling him to put it on the forum but he declined saying he don`t do the forum having put ( a game of two halves ) as his reply only an hour or so before to the Harrow V Margate update . He even declined the offer of me putting what he said on there for him .

Have to agree though with you Paul wrong time to slate them all at the mo , get behind them and if we go down slate them after but if we stay up we can PAT them on the back .

Up the Gate .

I tend to go with Paul H on this one as well. In particular that second goal - we had a goal disallowed a couple of weeks or so back which wasn't entirely dissimilar to that one.

I am just looking at the video as well of course - those that were at the game will have obviously had a better view.

I think this thread is disgraceful and Cookie should be ashamed of himself. This is not what the players need right now with only a handful of games they need the support and confidence from everyone to pull through and keep us up.
