Game was as awful as you would expect for an end of season mid table clash.

The Town come onto the field looking like a pub team on a Sunday morning! What is with the disorganised colour strips we keep turning out in away from home? today it was the ESL yellow shirt with Blue yes Blue shorts, Dave Walton had a totally diffrent sponsor on his shirt from the outfield players, the strip looked every bit as old as it actually is, we looked a shambles!

I dont know exactly whats going on (if you know what I mean) but my gut feeling tells me our club are a touch disorganised in many areas at the mo. Thats from the playing side to the off field problem or two.

We'll just have to see the season out (obviously) and in the summer use SB's pedigree to totally overhaul the playing side of the club. Additionally, the board will need to set a budget that can be met throughout the season and not be forced to cut back cos of bad decision making.

And anyone not pulling the party line in unity for what will be a very important 2009/10 season by supporting the board and management should step down.

I name the 2009/10 season the year of the overhaul.

It just felt like an end of season game, in the sunshine, yesterday. GWR pitch not looking quite up to its usual standard.

Just a few thoughts:

i) hopefully, the starting forward line indicates that the management accept that Ellis and Sammy can't play together from the start.

ii) Ryan looked more involved playing in central midfield, and the game seemed to flow more.

iii) why did the referee allow both 'keepers to wear the same colour shirts?

Not exactly a democrat then, are you?

I always thought that the general idea in a supporter's owned club, like any democratic organization, was that those in high office are answerable to and generally follow the wishes of the electorate, not the other way round.

You can find faults with my comments all day long, just like I can find faults in the democratic process. My views are a footballing/community one which should be the bedrock of every club at our level, unfortunately, the club needs to rid of the obstacles that exist if they are to progress.

I'm not gonna delve into the subject much deeper on a website, but am sure those who attend matches and whether you agree with me or not know where I'm coming from.

Your highlighting some of the obstacles that are existing.

I was'nt at the GWR game but from others view we should have won. Secondly we were missing a few important players too, I know, the same old story. This needs to be rectified, although our duscipline is vastly improved from last season.

Thirdly, we must'nt lose sight we are only at Ryman North Div 1 level. Which is not much higher than good park footy, so these 'awful games' comments are'nt that valid as the level is at the bottom of the semi-pro ladder, that includes match officials too, standard of facilities etc etc.

I believe we have only a handful of players or so that should be kept for next season and look at bringing in more players of the McCoy, Edgar, Mckie, May quality, if possible. This is possible With SB on board.

Come on EU!

Discipline has impoved, but results, performance, and most importantly 'league postion' have not.

Secondly ,it can't be acceptable to use nearly 80 players this season, but still only have a 'handful' that are good enough to want to keep for next season.

Also,i think you are making too much of this behind the scenes conflict. We all know that someone took offense to a comment ,and we all know that he in turn upset someone else in his response to being offended.Lets not make that an excuse for continued mid table mediocraty.Neither should a couple of injuries be an excuse.Or the over worn excuse of needing more time.

This managment team and players need to be in a position to challange for promition next season.Chandler was only allowed one mid table season before being reclieved of his duties.I'm sure any management team that follows that with two more such seasons would also rightly be told that that is not acceptable as well.

Don't get me wrong,i know the current management have worked hard to get things right, and i know that things have improved since the start of the season, and that there is a fair degree or talent amonst them,BUT there can be no more excuses or delays. The management need to produce a team that can challange next season, but to do this they need to get this current squad focused and winning as we finish this season,in order to give us a realistic chance of doing so.I wish the management well in doing this,i really hope they can pull it all together.I will be the first to congratulate them if they can.

We should win every game but we don't because we are not good enough. Suspensions are self inflicted and don't let's start moaning about officials and making excuses for sendings off and bookings. This is the club's problem and the club should deal with them. The game was poor, played by two poor teams and the missing of the penalty summed up the 'bad day at the office'.

We have been at this standard of football for a while now and we must question what the problems are and why these are happening on and off the field of play. Two/three seasons ago and we would have played GWR off the park.

There was recently a supporters' meeting and a big question mark revolved around the lack of communication. As yet, I have yet to read anything anywhere about what was discussed regarding the team.

Now some people may say that the www is not the place to share team information but surely those supporters who were not at the meeting, a lot more than those who were there, should be informed of what happened. Bit like having minutes of meetings available to share holders.

I am aware that the QE2 issue was mentioned in the recent programme but nothing as to how the club is going to raise the 6 figure sum needed to move the project forward.

Unfortunately Guys and Gals, we are where we are due to a number of reasons.

Signing 81 players is NOT a good sign.

Desperations and a lack of knowing what the hell we are doing comes to mind.

Playing 50 + players says the same.

I cannot see the answer being "it's next season" and we all anticpated that it was "THIS" Season that was to be "our turn".

Well, we have not been good enough to meet the expectation of pre-season chat.

The team have lacked discipline and lacked ability and over the season this will tell. - It has.

Comments like - next season will be the one etc - are of no consequence unless it DOES HAPPEN.

I have great concerns regarding the QE Stadium challenge and how the hell we are going to raise the money required to push forward with a venture which is difficult to say the least.

As for the Management AND Team - supporters expect more than 08 - 09 has provided, BUT fotball being what it is, it is no good just "expecting".

A great deal of work is needed on AND off the pitch if the Club are to progress.
